The officials of the postal department want batch-based promotion
The BCS cadre officials of the postal department have made two demands, including batch-wise superficial promotion with financial benefits and later batch-wise regular promotion. In the meantime, they had a meeting with the Secretary of Posts and Telecommunication Division Dr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman and they claimed to be discriminated against, in comparison to other BCS cadres
Later, they had a meeting with Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Advisor Md. Nahid Islam. They presented their demands in the meeting.
The matter was informed by a notification signed by the BCS (Postal) Association General Secretary KHM Iqbal Masood. Their other demand is to create other posts in all departments, including postal department, like other government offices.
The press release highlighted the unlimited discrimination of postal officials. It is said that officers of BCS (Postal) cadre are deprived of promotion and other facilities compared to other cadres. These issues have been discussed at various times. But the problem is not solved. So, there is extreme frustration among the officials of the postal department. Now they want the realization of their demands in the new Bangladesh without discrimination.
